The Inquisition Cometh!
I've been itching to deploy an Inquisitorial detachment with my army for the last few months, but as I've been too busy to play, much less paint, I've got nothing to deploy! I hate proxying with just a blank base marked with masking tape, so after the first of the year, I decided to get serious about converting some figures to fill out the detachment.

Rogue Trader Land Raider Conversion - Part 2
(why I hate priming in the south during the summer!)
It has been a busy few months with work, so progress has been slow on the RT-era Land Raider. Lots of trimming, sanding and filling, to get it ready to prime. I also had to prep all of the magnetized conversion parts for the modifications to make it a stand-in for a Spartan.

Rogue Trader Land Raider Conversion - Part 1
(or why less glue is BETTER!)
I hope the rest of you modelers take the following under advisement:
"You may not always be the owner of your recently completed model. Please, for the rest of us that inherit your used models, STOP USING TOO MUCH GLUE!
Since spending two weeks in the paint stripper, my Rogue Trader Land Raider has been turned into a nearly new model.

A Rehab addict's bag of tricks
(or how I learned to stop worrying love the bits bag)
Ever scratchbuilder / kitbasher / rehab-er has had that moment of sad realization... if only I had ONE MORE WIDGET, then this project would be complete!
Thankfully I've been lucky on eBay with finds like the one below:

New Refit hangar
(or Why moving offices can be fun)
There has been very little refit work done over the past two weeks as I've been shifting the location of my facility (aka office). Acquiring a much larger space for hobby work in the house has been awesome, but digging a ton of crap out of a closet and a few bookshelves has left me more than a lot to go through and DISCARD!
However, there are always funny things that you find when digging through papers that should have been pitched YEARS ago.

Bitz Box to the Rescue
(It IS better to be lucky than good...)
You've heard me reference the copious amounts of random bits that I've acquired over time, and it paid dividends again today. I knew I had a few dreadnaught bits in the lot that I'd bought, but I had no idea how useful they would be for my latest eBay rescue.
